Join me for an engaging tour of the British Museum, one of the world’s greatest museums, where the history of human civilization comes to life. Home to nearly 8 million objects and open to the public since 1759, the museum offers an unforgettable journey through ancient cultures, world civilizations, and some of the most famous treasures ever discovered.

During the tour, we will see the Rosetta Stone, which made it possible to decipher ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, as well as the museum’s collection of mummies, Egyptian statues of gods and pharaohs, and treasures from the ancient world. I will also tell you about the creation of one of the masterpieces of ancient Greece — the Parthenon — and show you the gods, warriors and centaurs from its marble frieze.

We will stop to admire the famous Lewis Chessmen, which inspired the creators of the Harry Potter films, and take in the elegant glass roof of the Great Court, protecting visitors from London’s ever-changing weather. You may also want to look inside the Reading Room of the former British Library, where Karl Marx, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, Dickens, and Kipling once worked.
