St Paul's Cathedral tour

St Paul’s Cathedral is Britain’s greatest Baroque church which in the XVII century replaced the previous place of worship, where divine services had taken place since 604: the year when Christianity came to the British Island. The Cathedral traditionally holds state funerals of well-known public figures such as Churchill and late Margaret Thatcher; the legendary admiral Horatio Nelson and the Duke of Wellington who brought the British nation the victory over Napoleon, are laid to rest in the crypt of the Cathedral. Gold mosaic and cast ironwork add to the grandeur of this Baroque masterpiece by Christopher Wren, the famous English architect who restored many of the 17th century London buildings destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666.
